Alain Chavy 2010 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Clavoillons
Alain Chavy and his brother are the only owners of 1er cru Clavoillon apart from Domaine Leflaive which has the lion’s share. The Chavy vines were planted in 1955. There is full, pure fruit on the palate and refreshing acidity at the back.

Alain Chavy 2010 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières
Puligny les Folatieres is the best wine of Alain Chavy's premier cru vineyards, offering extra density of flavour. It is still quite backward at the moment, but there is a vigorous intensity of fruit running across the mouth, with the flavours growing towards the back of the palate.

The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet La Boudriotte is the only wine among these 2009s that needs further bottle age. It boasts stunning depth and richness in a style similar to the Morgeot, but with considerably more finesse. Layers of fruit seem to cover every inch of the palate in this rich, textured Burgundy. This is a fabulous showing from Blain-Gagnard.

Domaine Blain Gagnard
93RP
The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint Jean is a striking wine that brings together all of the elements of the house style and the year. Freshly cut flowers, pears, apricots and a subtle vein of French oak are all woven together gracefully in this poised, nuanced wine. The combination of energy and understated richness is undeniably appealing. Layers of fruit build to a generous, creamy finish buffered by lively acidity.

The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot shows the breadth of this site in its rich, generous fruit. Despite its size, the Morgeot retains gorgeous freshness and vivacity, although the style is very much one that emphasizes a soft, textured expression of fruit.
