Details
Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs NV shimmers with a pale, crystalline gold hue, characteristic of the Chardonnay varietal. On the nose, it reveals an intricate bouquet of white peach, candied citrus, and lime, intertwined with floral hints of honeysuckle and the nuttiness of fresh hazelnut. As it opens, delicate notes of tangerine and lemon emerge, adding depth to the aromatic profile. The palate is marked by a precise freshness and taut structure, balanced with an unexpected smoothness that reflects the wine’s maturation in ancient chalk cellars. The effervescence is velvety and refined, leading to a finish that is both crisp and generously long, embodying the elegance and complexity of this exceptional Blanc de Blancs.
Robert Parker - 91 Points
"Disgorged in 2022, the latest release of the Charles Heidsieck NV Blanc de Blancs is elaborated with 30% of reserve wines, of which 10% to 12% are aged in old barrels. It has a captivating bouquet with aromas of honeysuckle, lemon oil, citrus, peach, tangerine and delicate hints of pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied, round and creamy, layered and elegant palate that finishes with chalky and brioche notes. A little time in the cellar will be more than profitable."
