The 2015 Gaja Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo presents a captivating experience on the palate, boasting sweet and inviting notes that interweave seamlessly with a beautiful structure of fruit tannins. Initially closed, this wine gradually unfolds to reveal a striking and multifaceted character, displaying a dense and intense texture. The cask aging bestows a captivating edge, infusing the wine with additional verve and tension. Notes of salinity, citrus, cassis, currants, mustard, smokiness, and licorice add further depth to its complexity. The wine's intense color is as alluring as its bouquet, making it a truly remarkable and deeply complex offering. With its harmonious interplay of flavors and refined structure, the 2015 Gaja Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo stands as a testament to the artistry and dedication of the Gaja estate.

"This celebrated vineyard site has more magnesium in its soils and that may be why you get such a strong mineral note. The 2015 Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo offers a complex bouquet with dark fruit, crushed mineral and grilled herb. This wine is very robust in terms of structure and therefore needs extra time in the bottle before it finds its proverbial sweet spot. You need patience to reap those excellent benefits. Drink after 2022"

"The 2015 Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo is endowed with serious concentration and power. In 2015, some of the site signatures that make Sorì San Lorenzo so distinctive are not especially apparent. It will be interesting to see how and when they develop. To be sure Sorì San Lorenzo comes across as not fully put together and also somewhat in conflict with the approach that drives today's Gaja wines."
