Robert Parker - (91-93) Points

"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon offers sumptuously sweet black and blue fruits along with notions of licorice, charcoal, and incense in an elegant, full-bodied, beautifully textured style. A terrific mid-palate, sweet tannins, and a long, pure finish suggest this beauty will drink well for 15+ years. (Not yet released) Readers may be familiar with this name as it is a 50-acre vineyard with most of the production sold to Beringer. However, some of the fruit from the lower elevations of Spring Mountain goes into estate-bottled Cabernets (250-300 cases produced). French guru Philippe Melka makes the wines at Marston Family."

Antonio Galloni - 91 Points

"Good deep ruby. Intriguing aromas of black fruits, graphite, flint and smoky oak. Dense and powerful on the palate; not yet complex but comes across as more vibrant than the 2006. There's something distinctly old-style about this wine, 50% of which was fermented in 400-liter barrels."
