Details

The Racines 2019 La Rinconada Vineyard Pinot Noir is a true testament to the collaboration of two classic houses from France, led by Etienne de Montille and Brian Sieve of Burgundy, along with Rodolphe Peters of Champagne. Drawing upon their individual experiences in crafting wines of purity and transparency, they have created a captivating range of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the cool climate of the Sta. Rita Hills in California. Sourced from the upper plantings at the La Rinconada Vineyard, adjacent to the renowned Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, the wine is crafted from deep, dark, rocky soils that lend it distinct character. This particular Pinot Noir is a selection of Mt. Eden cuttings, introduced to the region by Richard Sanford from Northern California years ago. With a refined nose, the wine exudes an alluring mix of red fruit aromas, accompanied by subtle earthy and mineral notes. On the palate, it displays a graceful balance of ripe fruit, intricate spice, and a touch of floral elegance. The finish is beautifully nuanced, leaving a lasting impression of finesse and purity. Adorned in a captivating ruby-red hue, this Pinot Noir is a testament to the passion and artistry of its creators, making it a delightful experience for any discerning wine enthusiast.

Antonio Galloni - 96 Points

"The 2019 Pinot Noir La Rinconada Vineyard is a heady, dazzling wine. The 100% whole clusters lend striking aromatic top notes that soar out of the glass. Sweet red cherry, sage, rose petal, blood orange and lavender give this beguiling, layered Pinot tons of complexity. Savory, wild and constantly changing in the glass, the Rinconada has so much to offer. This brilliant, captivating Pinot from Racines has so much to offer."
