"From a small alluvial fan between Highway 29 and the Napa River, Shibumi Knoll's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as rather oaky (it spent 18 months in 75% new French oak) as well as soft, supple and easy. Full-bodied, with notes of loamy earth, cedar and cassis, it's delicious but not overly complex. With just 134 cases produced and winemaking by Thomas Rivers Brown, one suspects this will be a tough Cab to catch."
