The Domaine De La Romanee-Conti 2020 Echézeaux is a wine of exceptional beauty and sophistication. Its appearance in the glass is captivating, showcasing a deep garnet color that glimmers with hints of purple at the rim. On the nose, it exudes a captivating bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, including cherries, blackberries, and plums, mingled with delicate floral notes of violet and rose petals. Subtle hints of spice, such as cinnamon and clove, add complexity and intrigue to the aroma profile. On the palate, the wine is rich and opulent, with velvety tannins that provide structure and balance. Flavors of dark fruit compote, including black cherries and blackcurrants, are complemented by nuances of licorice, tobacco, and earthy undertones. The finish is long and lingering, with layers of fruit and spice that linger on the palate. Overall, Domaine De La Romanee-Conti 2020 Echézeaux is a true expression of its terroir, showcasing the elegance, complexity, and aging potential for which the estate is celebrated.

Robert Parker - 95 Points

"The 2020 Échézeaux Grand Cru has turned out just as well in bottle as I hoped it might. Unusually muscular and concentrated for this bottling, it unwinds in the glass with aromas of mulberries and blackberries mingled with orange zest and exotic spices, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Full-bodied, broad and velvety, with a deep core of fruit framed by rich, powdery tannins, it concludes with a long, expansive finish."

Antonio Galloni - 96 Points

"The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru is one of the standouts in this tasting. Opulent and sumptuous to the core, the Echézeaux is a real head-turner. I suppose it is not as complex as some of the other wines in this range, but as Aubert de Villaine once said to me about his Montrachet "You don't always want complex, do you?" A rush of dark blue/purplish fruit, spice, chocolate, spice and lavender races across the palate. Readers will find a racy, hedonistic Burgundy that will drink well with minimal cellaring. What a wine!"
