The Domaine de Montille 2009 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts is a testament to the exceptional quality of Pinot Noir from this renowned vineyard. Its dense garnet color hints at its depth and maturity. On the nose, it offers an intriguing bouquet that evolves with time in the glass. Initially, there are delicate aromas of incense, dried leaves, and red fruits, evoking a sense of twilight. With aeration, the wine reveals deeper layers of complexity, with hints of spice, clove, and sweet tobacco adding intrigue. On the palate, it showcases a pronounced yet elegant mouthfeel, supported by firm yet refined tannins. The wine's structure is both consistent and harmonious, providing a perfect backdrop for the vibrant fruit flavors and nuanced spice notes. With its exceptional balance and depth, this Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts is a true expression of the terroir and craftsmanship of Domaine de Montille.

Robert Parker - 95+ Points

"The 2009 Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts graces the palate with finesse and nuance to spare. Hints of graphite, spices and crushed rocks add complexity to the fruit, but this is ultimately a wine of texture above all else. Silky tannins frame the highly expressive finesse. The 2009 Malconsorts has really come together over the last six months. It is more immediate than the 2010 tasted alongside it, but in a perfect world a well-stocked cellar would have both vintages. This is a flat-out great Malconsorts from Etienne de Montille. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039."
