Details

Louis Roederer's 2013 Rosé is a vibrant snapshot of a year, a testament to the artistry of blending from 35 small, carefully situated plots. These vineyards span the warm terroirs of the "La Rivière" estate, where Pinot Noir thrives, as well as the cooler limestone soils favored by Chardonnay. The wine predominantly originates from the vineyards in Cumières, benefitting from a gentle, extended infusion of Pinot Noir that extracts the juice's essence while preserving remarkable saline freshness. This Rosé Vintage is a sensory delight, with an intense and invigorating character, marked by small, zesty, and finely crunchy red fruits. It possesses both substance and plenitude, offering a tactile and indulgent experience. Its key attributes are the exceptional freshness, perfect balance, and an ethereal lightness, all enveloped in a beautiful satin texture with a distinct saline quality that lingers on the palate, making it a truly memorable champagne.

Robert Parker - 92+ Points

"The Roederer 2013 Brut Vintage Rosé has a lovely light pink color and opens with highly delicate red fruit and flowery aromas. The wine is light, fresh, pure, very delicate and stimulatingly salty. Very energetic and at the same time caressing. The finish displays pink grapefruit, blood orange and lime zest flavors. Highly stimulating in its purity, freshness and citrus character. Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon finds it less vinous than the 2012, but he thinks the 2013 has huge aging potential. Disgorged in January 2018, tasted at the domaine in May."
