On the palate, it showcases a remarkable depth and complexity, with layers upon layers of flavors that unfold gracefully. Rich dark fruits, such as blackberry and blackcurrant, take center stage, accompanied by notes of plum, cassis, and hints of dark chocolate. The velvety texture and well-integrated tannins contribute to a luxurious mouthfeel, creating a seamless and harmonious experience. The nose is equally enchanting, offering an enticing bouquet of black fruits, dried herbs, and a subtle touch of oak. As the wine lingers on the palate, the finish is exceptionally long and satisfying, leaving a lasting impression. In terms of color, the Merus 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals an intense, deep ruby hue that exudes elegance and allure. This is a wine of great distinction and character, showcasing the true potential of Napa Valley's Cabernet Sauvignon.

Robert Parker - 95 Points

"Winemaker Camille Benitah and consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs have done a fabulous job with the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich, deep and sumptuous, the 2010 is incredibly inviting. Sweet dark cherries, mocha, flowers and espresso meld together as the 2010 opens up in the glass. A soft, plush finish rounds things out in style. The Merus Cabernet Sauvignon is overt, juicy and beautifully balanced from start to finish. One of the virtues of the 2010 is that it should drink fabulously pretty much upon release. The blend is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot."

Antonio Galloni - 94 Points

"Bright saturated ruby. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, graphite, licorice and mocha are lifted by a violet topnote. Dense and lush but not at all overly sweet, offering lush, smooth flavors of dark fruits and sexy chocolatey oak. Very rich, broad, savory cabernet with a glossy, very long finish featuring ripe, fine-grained tannins and superb persistence. Balanced from the outset but has the stuffing for graceful mid-term aging."
