The 2013 vintage, Olivier Bernstein's Charmes Chambertin offers a compelling sensory experience. The wine showcases a vibrant ruby color that hints at its youthful vitality. On the nose, delicate aromas of red berries, such as raspberries and strawberries, intertwine with hints of floral notes, creating an enchanting bouquet. Upon tasting, the palate is greeted with a harmonious fusion of flavors, characterized by the wine's supple texture and silky tannins. Notes of ripe red fruits dominate, complemented by subtle hints of spice and earthiness, adding layers of complexity. As the wine evolves on the palate, it culminates in a lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression of finesse and charm, making it a standout among the Grands Crus of Burgundy.

Antonio Galloni - 93+ Points

"Good medium red. Darker today in its fruit character than the Cazetiers, offering brooding scents of musky dark berries, licorice and game. Boasts lovely sweetness on entry, then shuts down tight in the mid-palate, with black raspberry and flinty mineral flavors leading to a firmly tannic, youthfully drying finish. Comes across as quite backward after the premier crus here. Seriously tannic and clenched, with its firm spine calling for patience."
