The 2012 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru from Perrot-Minot emanates an aura of complexity and depth, sourced from parcels of 44 and 88-year-old vines. Its aromatics are profound, inviting contemplation with each inhale. On the palate, it unfolds with grace, revealing a medium-bodied character complemented by silky tannins and refined acidity. Dark cherry and hints of cold black tea intertwine with notes of bergamot, leading to a spicy, subtly nuanced finish. This wine encapsulates the essence of the vintage and the distinguished Perrot Minot style, showcasing a sweet, perfumed expression layered with floral-infused fruit. Silky tannins impart finesse, allowing the wine's richness to shine alongside evolving floral, tobacco, licorice, and earthy nuances. The Chapelle-Chambertin embodies both power and elegance, a testament to Perrot-Minot's commitment to producing wines of exceptional quality and balance.

Robert Parker - (92-94) Points

"The 2012 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from two parcels, 44 and 88-year old. This is a step-up in complexity over the Charmes-Chambertin with a broodier, more introspective but perhaps more compelling set of aromatics. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, very fine acidity, touches of dark cherry, cold black tea and bergamot that lead to a spicy, almost understated finish in contrast to the nose. This will be a charmer."

Antonio Galloni - (95-97) Points

"The 2012 Chapelle-Chambertin brings together the very best elements of the year and the Perrot Minot house style. Sweet, perfumed and expressive, the 2012 flows with layers of sweet, floral-infused fruit. Here the silky tannins convey an impression of total finesse, the wine's richness not withstanding. Floral notes continue to develop, adding lift to the dark black fruit, tobacco, licorice and earthy notes that give the wine much of its depth. The Chapelle manages to be both powerful and intense, yet also light on its feet, within the context of the Perrot-Minot wines. Today, it is striking."
