Robert Parker - (90-92) Points

"The 2012 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Richemoines comes from 60-year old vines located in a single 1.05-hectare parcel. The mineralite shows through very well on this wine: red cherries, bergamot, granite and just a suggestion of burnt toast that emerges with aeration. The palate is vibrant from the beginning with rounded, sappy red berry fruit intermingling with cassis and a dash of white pepper. This is very harmonious, just perhaps needs a little more structure towards the finish."

Antonio Galloni - 93 Points

"Bright, dark red. Highly complex aromas of blackberry, licorice, violet, bitter chocolate, leather and spices. Extremely concentrated and tightly wound, showing a medicinal quality to its dark berry flavors. This very backward wine will require a decade to harmonize its serious tannins. Almost painful today."
