Details

Incredibly opulent and profoundly dark, the 2019 Schrader CCS is an extraordinary expression of richness. Its inky depths reveal an abundance of ultra-ripe blue and black fruit, with aromas and flavors that captivate the senses. Bursting with summer-picked blackberries, boysenberries, wild blueberries, and luscious plum preserves, this wine is a symphony of fruit complexity. Delicate notes of violets, black truffles, sweet earth, graphite, and the subtle spice of fruitcake enhance the aromatic tapestry. The palate is a showcase of lavish fruit character, supported by a fine structure and embraced by silky-smooth tannins. The 2019 Schrader CCS stands as a testament to the tradition of excellence, solidifying its place as one of the most revered and celebrated wines in the portfolio.

Robert Parker - 98 Points

"Sourced from Block C1 (planted to Clone 4), the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, like all the other Schrader wines, matured in 100% new French oak from Darnajou and Taransaud. Hugely concentrated black cherries are joined by dried spices, slightly peppery notes and cedar on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied and plush yet firm at its core. It's a well-rounded, elegant example of Oakville Cabernet, nicely balanced, with attractive notions of blueberry and mint on the lengthy finish."
